How To: Delicious Matcha Chia Seed Pudding Recipe

Oh, Matcha. How amazing you are. We are so in love with our Flavour of the Month for April that we’ve decided to not just limit our use of the beautiful green powder in just our drinks, but also in our dessert! This Matcha Chia Seed Pudding recipe is simple to do, healthy and most importantly, de-li-cious!

Matcha and chia seeds are both so good for you. Matcha is packed with antioxidants, boosts your metabolism, helps you focus and even detoxifies the body. Chia seeds on the other hand, are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. Put the 2 together and you have a nutrition-packed dessert, snack or even meal replacement. Sounds good? Read on to find out how you can make your own.

Ingredients:

  • Chai Yó Matcha (can be purchased at our Tea Bar)
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • Fruits for topping (we used frozen blueberries and raspberries)

Steps:

  1. In a bowl, add the Matcha powder to the milk. Stir thoroughly until all of the powder has dissolved. We recommend adding the Matcha bit by bit so it doesn’t clump up in the milk.
  2. Then, add the chia seeds and stir carefully.
  3. Pour the mixture into an air tight container and place it in your fridge overnight, or at least for 3 hours.
  4. Once it’s ready, scoop the pudding into a bowl or cup and add toppings of your choice! If you haven’t got any fruit, granola or cereal are great alternatives.

Yup, it’s THAT easy! Now, it’s your turn. If you decide to recreate this recipe, don’t forget to take a picture and tag us on Instagram @chaiyotea so we can see! Good luck!
